ASUS Makes Red Dot Design Awards History With 26 Wins

To say ASUS swooped the 2020 Red Dot Design Awards would probably be an understatement. After almost a quarter of a century of tradition, the company broke pretty much every event-wide record by taking home no fewer than 26 honors last night. An amazing achievement in any competition, least of all one of the most prestigious product award ceremonies on the planet, at least among the currently active ones.

ASUS Chief Design Officer Mitch Yang was at a loss for words after seeing this haul, but did manage to call this feat of UX achivements an “incredible milestone” for the entire company. Especially when the year, as a whole, started with so much uncertainty in terms of actual mass-manufacturing capabilities of not just ASUS but pretty much every consumer tech brand in the world.

After completely cleaning up this year’s Red Dot Design Awards, however, ASUS likely calmed the minds of investors worried about the company’s long-term prospects, assuming there was ever any doubt. Among the most acclaimed products of the evening were its ROG Chakram mouse, ROG Strix Go 2.4 wireless headphones, and the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15, as well as the Zephyrus G14 notebooks.

The likes of the ZenBook Flip 14 UX463, ProArt StudioBook One, and the Chromebook Flip C436 ensured this milestone is truly niche-agnostic instead of just being a win for ASUS’s gaming division.
