Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will be released in 2025

This is exciting news for all strategy game enthusiasts! Revealed during the Summer Game Fest 2024 by publisher 2K, they officially announced, the highly anticipated release of Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is coming to PC and consoles sometime in 2025. It will bring a whole new world of possibilities and adventures for players to immerse themselves in. Prepare to embark on epic journeys, forge new alliances, conquer uncharted territories, and build your civilization.

The award-winning strategy game franchise returns with a revolutionary new chapter in 2025. Sid Meier’s Civilization® VII empowers you to build the greatest empire the world has ever known and will launch simultaneously on PC and consoles in 2025.

Civilization VI was published in October 2016, almost eight years ago, to rave reviews. Hopefully, it will deliver more depth, complexity, and immersion than Civilization VI that players will expect.

Firaxis, the studio behind Civilization, announced last year “that it was working on a new game”, but at that time, Civilization VII was not specified as another franchise project. According to 2K, more details will be coming in August with a full gameplay showcase.
