Hunt Showdown: Tides of Desolation begins on December 13th with lots of changes

Crytek has released what is coming in the upcoming 1.15 update, along with the Tide of Desolation event. Some of the notable changes are the progression changes. All of the base weapons will be available at rank 1, the consumables and tools will be unlocked by ranking up in your bloodline, and you will no longer have to use each item a certain amount of time to unlock it.

Ash Bloom, a mist-themed effect, will be the new wild card name. The light will transition into a heavy fog. The dogs, horses, and chickens will all make continual noises in the heavy fog and some trees or plants in some places will be decayed and have lowered foliage.

The recruitable hunters will now have more tools and consumables with up to four perks, and the gear is more likely to match their traits. They are also guaranteed to have a melee weapon and a med kit. Recruiting them also saves 25% of the cost of all items they have. Note, FREE recruits are still available, but only if you are below 20,000 hunt dollars, and if you are below 5,000, you will have three free recruits per shuffle. The Legendary Hunters are now cheaper, going down from 200 to 100 Hunt Dollars.

The blueprints and gun oil are exclusively moved to set spawns on workbenches in compounds, making it easier to find them. The blueprints grant three random unlocks, and the gun oil will instantly progress to the next matching unlock for your weapon.

No more generators. All generators were removed, and electric lights were randomly on or off at the start of the match.

You are now no longer forced to look in a straight line while vaulting. You will be able to rotate the camera during the vault animation to react quicker if needed.

Relentless and death cheat will now be permanent traits but these burn traits that can only picked up in a match. With Relentless, your Hunter won’t lose a Health Chunk when downed, and with Death Cheat, you will not lose your Hunter if you fail to extract, but your equipment and any missing health chunks will be lost.

With the Instinct trait, holding E when out of dark sight boost will cause an orange glow on the screen if enemies are within 75m. This effect will be triggered when using Dark Sight and will emit an orange glow around your screen, indicating that someone is nearby and will make ambushing bounty holders a much harder task.
