Hublot Big Bang e Just Created A Pricing Universe Of Its Own

The Big Bang e is how Hublot is calling its latest luxury smartwatch. The name might or might not be related to the fact this thing is in a pricing universe of its own making. The Titanium model starts at $5,200, whereas one made out of black ceramic goes for $5,800. Yes, present tense, because both are already available for purchase to Hublotista members.

Those would be the people fortunate enough to have been able to afford at least one other Hublot timepiece in the past. An owner’s club of sorts, if you’d like. This exclusivity period will be rather short-lived, however, as Hublot intends to begin retailing the Big Bang e globally in the second half of this month. The 15th of June, to be exact. Needless to say, this kind of a product isn’t exactly geared toward the tech-savvy crowd.

And that price tag is actually not half-bad relative to how much Hublot timepieces tend to go for. For added context, the original Big Bang Referee model Hublot released in 2018 was actually the most affordable watch, smart or otherwise, ever to be released by the Swiss timepiece manufacturer. And it started at that same threshold – $5,200.

Compared to that device, the new Big Bang e is more compact, featuring a 42mm body that’s 12.8mm thick. Inside is the Snapdragon Wear 3100, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage, as well as a 300mAh battery promising up to a day of usage on one charge.
