ASUS ROG Swift PG35VQ gaming monitor offers HDR, 200Hz refresh rate

If you have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the new ROG Swift PG35VQ Gaming Monitor, you might be pleased to know that it is available to purchase, but you might not be so pleased that the price which is currently $3,420 or £2699 depending on your location.

Although for this price you are receiving a gaming monitor equipped with a quantum dot panel that adheres to the cinema-standard DCI-P3 90% colour gamut and can reach up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness across 512 lighting zones within a resolution of 3440×1440pixels and G-Sync support.

“ASUS ROG High Dynamic Range (HDR) monitors offer a wider colour spectrum than traditional monitors, with a luminance range that comes closer to what the human eye is capable of perceiving. The ROG Swift PG35VQ gaming monitor features G-SYNC HDR technology for a peak brightness that’s several times greater than standard displays. Its LED backlight is dynamically controlled across 512 zones, providing very high contrast for richer, more natural-looking dark scenes.

Quantum-dot technology also provides brighter imagery, supporting the cinema-standard DCI-P3 colour gamut. DCI-P3 enables a 25% wider colour range than sRGB, resulting in more realistic colour reproduction.”
