We were almost afraid HP will decide against refreshing its eye-candy Spectre series of notebooks this year, but fortunately, the much-anticipated announcement finally arrived this Friday. Enter the HP Spectre x360 14, an absolutely mesmerizing ultrabook that manages to maintain the unique visual identity of its predecessors and simultaneously even build on it.
To put it bluntly the HP Spectre x360 features and even more seamless display with even smaller bezels than last year’s HP Spectre x360 13, ultimately raising the bar for what kind of fully immersive and almost entirely bezel-free display experiences we should expect from contemporary notebooks. Beneath this beautiful exterior is still quite a sturdy machine, one updated with Intel’s 11th-generation Core processors which include the new Xe graphics microarchitecture.
Moving on, the Spectre x360 is world’s first laptop to use keyboard scissors made entirely out of renewable material. Speaking of milestones, this is also the first Spectre x360 with a 3:2 display, one that really reminds us of the Surface Pro lineup, and we mean that in the best way possible. Launching alongside it is an upgraded HP ENVY x360 13 which also embraces Intel’s newest CPUs, all the while starting at a reasonable $949 price point.
As for the star of the show, the entry-level HP Spectre x360 14 model will cost $1,199.99 once it hits the market in the United States later this month. It will release alongside an equally priced HP Spectre x360 13 and a refreshed HP ENVY 13 configuration ($899.99), while an even more special, 5G-ready Spectre x360 13 model is currently planned for a stateside release in early 2021, which most likely means February, based on HP’s track record.
