TRENDnet Ships Adapter To Connect A Computer To HD TV

TRENDnet, a best-in-class wired and wireless networking hardware brand, today announces the availability of the USB 3.0 to HD TV Adapter, model TU3-HDMI, which extends a Windows®-based computer’s viewing field to a HD TV, monitor, receiver, or projector with a HDMI port.

The adapter converts a 5 Gbps SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port on a computer to a HDMI port. It also works with standard USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports. Extend mode adds a HD TV viewing field to the left, right, top, or bottom of your existing monitor. Mirror mode, copies a monitor’s viewing field to a HD TV or other device. The Primary Display function transfers a computer’s operating system controls to the connected HDMI device. The included software manages up to six TU3-HDMI adapters to copy or extend a viewing field over many TVs.

“TRENDnet’s TU3-HDMI combines the functionality of your computer with the visual impact of your big screen HD TV,” stated Sonny Su, technology director for TRENDnet.

More information can be found here.

The TU3-HDMI is available now from online and retail partners for $99.99.
