Patch 7 for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor provides stability improvements and a solid 60 fps

There is a significant patch for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor from Respawn and EA.  It’s well known that the game has been plagued with performance issues since its launch in April.  The patch is reported to support a “solid 60 fps” using performance mode on consoles.  The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users can expect a “completely reworked” performance mode, which disables Ray Tracing and provides several GPU / CPU optimizations, according to the games patch 7 notes, for an improved experience.

The PC version is receiving some “stability improvements” in the patch.  Now, the game integrates DLSS 2 upscaling and DLSS 3 for Nvidia’s DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling).  According to the notes, PC users should get “additional performance & optimization improvements.”

PC users also have a new save system that helps prevent save game corruption.

A few of the highlights in patch 7 are:

  • A performance mode has been completely reworked to improve player experience substantially.
  • A variable refresh rate support was added for PS5.
  • “Quality Mode” has also received optimizations to help reduce FPS fluctuation and introduce other visual improvements.
  • Additional performance and optimization improvements for PC, including DLSS support.
  • Save system tweaks to help prevent save game corruption.
  • Fixed issues where players could not retrieve their XP after dying under certain circumstances.
  • Various bug fixes and improvements across all platforms, including fixes for cloth, lighting, and UI.

You can purchase the Star Wars: Jedi Survivor for PC (Windows), PS5, Xbox Series X/S now on Steam, Amazon, EA or at Respawn.
