The Far Far West, What in tarnation!

Hello everyone, today we are looking at the game Far Far West by Evil developer Raptor and publisher Fireshine Games, which publishes a diverse range of games. We happened to stumble upon it, and the trailer caught our eye as something new, crazy, and might be a whole lot of fun.

Yee-haw, Cowboys!

Howdy, so what in tarnation is this game? Well, you begin this chaotic co-op shooter in a hub before you board the train to your first run. Before you head out, be sure to check out the local shops for upgrades and unlocks as you progress through the game. You can spend your hard-earned Gold and souls on outfits, buffs, player abilities, and even more.

If you can find anyone else brave enough, ask them to join you. In the far, far west, they enjoy giving you and up to three other partners something to remember; they are fixin’ to give you an old-fashioned whoopin. If not, well, you’re the only brave one, so hop on the train and get out there to collect your souls and Gold. Work as a team or work alone —just get out alive and get paid!

Yee-haw, Cowboys! We’re burnin’ daylight, let’s go!

Head on over to the train when you’re ready, that is, if you’re not too scared. Once the train arrives at its destination, you are offboarded into the wide-open wilderness, and the chaos begins. Head to the markers, and clear out anything in your way that might be trying to hit or shoot at you…. those pesky little critters. But anyways, head to the task ahead, collecting Gold and shooting skeletons.

Try to finish the mission and stay alive; if not, you will awake back in the hub, drinking a cold mug of brew and licking your pitiful wounds.

I was fixin’ to break bad when the freakin’ ghost train that started flyin around, what in tarnation is this game doing to me? Then I finally drag my tired old butt to the extraction point, thinking that I finally think my nightmare is over, then this big old fella comes out along with his friends and starts shooting at my old, tired butt. Again, what the heck is this game trying to do to me?

Final Thoughts

You will find that the shooting is smooth, with accurate weapons that deliver a nasty joint to those pesky skeletons. The movement, jumping, and dodging around is also smooth, and you will be using a lot to complete some tasks and take out those multiple pesky skeletons that are chasing after you.

The cartoonish style, bouncy animations, and puzzles make this game more enjoyable to play, and it’s hard to call this game an extraction shooter. As your journey takes you along, you enjoy blasting monsters, throwing dynamite, slinging spells, completing missions, and collecting Gold and bounties. This is a great playtest demo, with some unique gameplay. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Yee-haw, Cowboys!
