Built for comfort, versatility, and compatibility
The Corsair Virtuoso Pro comes with one soft, premium woven covered cable with a built-in unidirectional boom microphone arm and one cable without. This is an excellent option for users who want to use another mic and for users who wish to use the built-in mic and less on their desktop for the greatest possible flexibility. It’s also great for traveling for more flexibility without bringing a separate mic. It also comes with a Y-adapter cable for users who need to split the mic line out to another input. Also, take note that you have both left and right cables. So you will have cables on both sides, which could annoy some users.
Its 3.5mm plug allows the headset to connect easily to game consoles and mobile devices. Also included is a robust hard case transport or storage case that protects the headset and ensures easy and safe transport. This case will be ideal for gamers or streamers who are frequently on the move.
The Corsair Virtuoso Pro is incredibly light and built with a mixture of plastic and aluminum, but it does not look or feel like a cheap headset. It is extremely comfortable. The cloth-covered and padded memory foam provides comfort and also more breathability. The adjustable headband and the memory foam ear pads adapt optimally to the shape of the head, in combination with the fabric cover, ensuring a high level of comfort even during hours of gaming sessions or while streaming.
However, the headset is not just comfortable; the carbon version is incredibly attractive compared to the white version. The Virtuoso Pro also has easy-to-remove speaker covers, headband padding and lettering, and ear cushions that can be easily replaced without any tools.
High-Quality Sound with the Corsair Virtuoso Pro
The Corsair Virtuoso Pro uses high-quality 50mm graphene drivers, known for reproducing deep bass and clear treble with great detail and precise sound. With a wide frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz, you will be assured that deep bass and high frequencies are reproduced clearly and without distortion. The Virtuoso Pro will also work on mobile devices because it offers an impedance of 32 ohms. But remember that with the open-back design, whatever you are listening to can most likely be heard around you. So, whatever you are listening to might not be as private as you wish.
Unfortunately, the headset does not have software to tweak your listening experience. However, Corsair’s Elgato Wave Link software can be used with the company’s Elgato Wave XLR DAC, allowing users to tailor the audio experience precisely to their preferences. We also tested it with Peace Equalizer and interface Equalizer APO and were able to download and set up several profiles, which worked great.
If you intend to use the Elgato Wave XLR DAC and the Virtuoso Pro’s included mic, you are out of luck because the Wave XLR only takes microphones that use an XLR cable and will not recognize the headset’s microphone.
You can also use the NVIDIA Broadcast app to adjust live streams, voice chats, and video conference calls. But you would expect more than this from Corsair for the price.
Convenient Optional Mic
The microphone is unidirectional, so it primarily picks up sound in a specific direction, which is ideal for minimizing background noise. In addition, the frequency range of 100 hertz to 10 kilohertz promises a broad recording spectrum that does not undercut fine details. The mic is optional and connects to the left-hand side of the headset. A mute switch is conveniently located at the base of the shaft. Just push it up or down to mute and unmute. That is the only button for this headset. Pretty basic!
