Intel has announced the new Intel® Core™ 14th Generation desktop processor family that is led by the Intel® Core™ i9-14900K. This generation desktop processor family has six new unlocked desktop processors at launch, delivering up to 24 cores and 32 threads and up to 6 GHz of frequency.
The i7-14700K will have 20 cores and 28 threads, four more efficient cores (E-cores) than the prior generation, and PC enthusiasts will have the best overclocking and compatibility experience with the new Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors with existing 600/700-series chipsets motherboards.
Enthusiasts can also use Intel’s Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) with the new feature, AI Assist, and one-click AI-guided overclocking for the 14th Gen desktop processors as well as support for DDR5 XMP speeds well beyond 8,000 megatransfers/second (MT/S).
The i9-14900K is at the top of the Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors and will feature 6 GHz turbo frequencies, powered by Intel’s advanced performance hybrid architecture that will deliver the computing power and performance that PC enthusiasts require.
The Intel Core 14th Gen processors will provide up to a 23% gaming performance uplift compared to leading competitor processors.
The new Intel® Core™ 14th Generation desktop processor will also be equipped with integrated support for Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth® 5.3, as well as discrete support for new Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless technologies, and they will include support for Thunderbolt 4 as well as upcoming Thunderbolt 5 wired connectivity up to 80 Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth.
The Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors will be available at retail outlets and via OEM partner systems starting Oct. 17, 2023.
The new Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processor lineup will be available globally via online/in-store retail and partner systems beginning Oct. 17, 2023, and will be led by the Core i9-14900K/KF.
