Dell Brings 4K To Chromebooks

Dell is threading some new ground in the Chrome OS segment with the Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise, its latest portable powerhouse running Google’s open-source operating system. Announced earlier today, this slim workstation offers a convertible, 2-in-1 form factor paired with the first-ever 4K screen among Chromebooks.

The Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise features a 14-inch screen with a low blue light filter meant to combat eye strain, and the ultrabook stakes a claim at offering the best battery life in the entire Chrome OS market. Which is a bold claim, but at 21 hours of standalone operation in real-world testing, it’s hard to think of a single device that even comes close to that astonishing figure.

Of course, your mileage will heavily depend on actual use case scenarios but in most situations, you can trust the Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise to get you through a working day or two… or five. Making this proposition even more tempting is ExpressCharge Boost that will replenish a third of the laptop’s battery in mere 20 minutes.

The Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise will be hitting the U.S. in the coming weeks, starting at $1,299. Dell is also planning to follow up on the original model with a lower-end Intel Core i3 configuration planned to retail at $1,099.
