Incredible Keyboards Under $300 That Change Everything

More than $200 for a keyboard may seem like a new idea for those not part of the growing keyboard enthusiasts, so allow us to explain.

The high end of keyboards has recently taken another shape. The simply staggering number of software features, space grade build, and vastly customizable layout and feel of the switches are something else.

That’s why we feel it’s worth investing in such tech that will be used daily for years to come. If you want to feel something special every time you type, the prices these keyboards ask can feel worth it.

Dell Alienware Pro Gaming Mechanical Keyboard AW768

This keyboard is very aesthetic. It is plastic built but still build quality is great and it has 3 adjustable positions too.

Razer Huntsman Elite

This product was recommended by Christian Antonoff from Heartifb

This is my favorite keyboard as of late. A good price and lots of cool features make the Razer Huntsman Elite an excellent choice for a keyboard. The Huntsman Elite is one of the Razer keyboards that has an opto-mechanical switch.

The opto-mechanical build avoids traditional metal contacts and instead opts for a beam of light that fires through the switch when the key is pressed, resulting in an almost instantaneous reaction. During my gaming sessions, I’ve found that the keys feel more comfortable than other keyboards I’ve used in the past.

This is because it does not make me press buttons as hard for the keys to register. The keys on the Huntsman require slightly less force and register quicker than other keyboards. All I can say is that this keyboard feels like a well-oiled machine – it responds lightning fast. One of the biggest selling points of the Huntsman Elite is the durability of each button. Each is rated as twice as durable as standard mechanical switches, or up to 100 million keystrokes.

They’re tactile switches that actuate at 1.5 mm and 45g of force, meaning they’re ridiculously easy to spam, but still provide tactile feedback. They’re also amazing for typing for much the same reason.

CORSAIR K95 RGB Platinum XT Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

This product was recommended by Plamen Beshkov from 10Beasts

It is super easy to use The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum shares some of the same design and aluminum build as its predecessor, the K70, though there are some interesting enhancements. In my opinion, its greatest asset is that the K95 has less macro keys, with 6 in total.

This makes it much more intuitive and easier to use than its predecessors. I think this is a great improvement since it means the keys are easy to reach, making typing or gaming a breeze. Even with the reduced macro key count, this keyboard is still ahead of the curve when it comes to shortcut keys.

There are media controls, a volume wheel, gaming modes, and lighting toggles that enhance the overall experience of using the keyboard. It is perfect for any scenario The keyboard comes with 8MB of in-built memory that allows users to program a maximum of 3 sets of macros. That way you can take the keyboard with you wherever you go and still use whatever keystrokes you need.

Whether you do programming, work or gaming – the K96 lets you do all three. The K95 software is very advanced, providing users with lots of templates for the pulse, wave, and rain of colors on the keyboard, but it can still get pretty technical pretty fast. It is like a vacation for my wrists When it comes to wrist rests, I haven’t found many keyboards with better ones than this keyboard.

It is built out of the same military grade aluminum as the keyboard and comes with a very comfortable, rubber padded wrist rest. The rubber is reversible and magnetic, giving you a rough texture finish on one side, and a smooth one on the other. Really, my wrists are thankful every time I use it. It is really fast The switches in this keyboard are Cherry linear MX Speed switches and are highly responsive, actuating with 1.2mm and 45g acceleration . This means you don’t have to apply too much pressure to activate the switches, and they tend to bottom out really fast.
