Sony Reveals Prices Of 2020 8K LED TVs And More

Sony Corp. today revealed availability and pricing details for its most impressive smart television sets to date. That would be a couple of models measuring in at just below 75 and 85 inches diagonally that belong to the company’s latest series of 8K LED smart TVs.

Yes, 8K, and no, it is not going to be cheap by any means. The 75″ Z8H model has a manufacturer’s recommended retail pricing of $6,999.99, whereas the 85″ version of the same product is planned to go for an extra $3,000, so ten grand in total, pretty much. Those figures, on their own, already paint a pretty revealing picture regarding the type of an audience Sony is angling for here.

As spending thousands of dollars on a TV is something only the most hardcore fans of home cinema technologies will be willing and able to do. Best Buy and other Sony distributors in the United States, as well as Sony itself, are already accepting pre-orders as of today, the company announced in a press release. The TVs are currently planned to release across the country this summer.

Also available for pre-purchases starting right now are the new A8H Bravia OLED 4K HDR TVs from Sony. These are OLED TVs going for $2,299.99 an $3,099.99 for the 65″ and 55″ model, respectively. Both will be releasing in a few weeks’ time, at most. The same as the new X950H 4K HDR LED TV series ranging from $999.99 (49″) to $4,499.99 (85″).
