The Tech 21 Classic Frame Case features a simplistic design comprised of a tough and rigid back along with softer more flexible sides. The back of the case has a frosted finish so that you’ll still be able to see all of the Apple design yet still keep your phone safe. The back of the case is made from polycarbonate so it’ll keep your phone protected from scratches and dings. Whereas the sides of the cases are made from Tech 21’s Scientifically proven D3O® impact material, which absorbs and dissipates damaging impact away from your phone.
You’ll find plenty of “lay-on-the-table” from the Tech 21 Classic Frame Case. The outer lip of the case extends up higher and onto the glass screen of your phone once installed. This way if you were to place your phone screen side down on any flat surface the lip of the case would make contact with the surface not the screen of your phone. This also helps when and if you were to drop your phone. The hope being that if the phone lands screen side down the case absorbs the impact not your phone’s screen.
Once it’s installed on to your phone 6 you’ll find that the Tech 21 Classic Frame Case yields full access to all of the phone’s ports and controls. The bottom of the case is completely cutout and open so there is no issue getting to the Lightning port, speaker, microphone, or headset jack. Same holds true for the cutout around the phone’s mute switch. Both the volume buttons on the left side of the phone and the power button on the right side of the phone get covered and replaced by buttons built into the case itself. These buttons give a good amount of tactile feedback when pressed.
